Reservation Policies

Here’s the detailed scoop about our reservation policies at Bolongo Bay, including our updated COVID REFUND POLICY, so you know what to expect and have no worries once you arrive.

In light of the Covid19 pandemic, we’ve modified our reservation and cancellation policies for the indefinite future. Since reopening, we are offering our guests a 100% refund guarantee to anyone who wishes to postpone or cancel their upcoming trip due to Covid-19 or any other reason. No questions asked.

Deposits & Payments

Deposits & Payments

A $600 deposit is due at the time of booking. Full payment is due 21 days prior to the arrival date. We accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa. Currency in the US Virgin Islands is the same as the US ($1 = $1). If you book through our booking engine here on our site and add flights & trip protection to your booking you will be charged in full for your airfare directly by the airline you booked, and the trip protection will be charged by that company directly as well.

Bolongo will charge the normal $600 deposit or payment in full if your arrival date is within 21 days. ReservHotel is a company in FL who powers our booking engine and bundles airfare and trip protection with our hotel rates so you conveniently can book it all in one place and they charge 9% of your hotel room total when you book a hotel + air package, which is credited on your account as paid towards your hotel stay.  So don’t be alarmed when you see several charges instead of just one.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations & Refunds

*During the Covid19 pandemic, we are not charging any penalties for cancellations or rescheduled trips. If you must cancel, you will get 100% of your money back. Please note that if you book with a third-party, you will have to cancel through them.

For a full refund, cancellation of a reservation must be received no later than seven days prior to the arrival date except for winter season, Dec 25 -Apr 30,  which requires a 21-day advance notice. Cancellations received after the cutoff, no shows and early check-outs are subject to a $600 penalty per room, however, we give you one year to use that money towards a future reservation. For peace of mind, we do recommend that you purchase trip insurance.

Hurricane policy

Hurricane policy

If St. Thomas is under a hurricane warning, guests holding a confirmed reservation are allowed to cancel without penalty. These guests will be offered a full refund or be able to rebook at a later date. The same rate will be honored, provided travel is in the same season. If guests choose to travel in a different season, their deposit will be applied toward their new total.

Any rebooked reservations must be used within one year from the original travel dates, and the claim must be made within 90 days of the original vacation. Guests already in the hotel will not be penalized for any early departure and any unused room nights already paid will be refunded.

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort, with the safety and convenience of our guests in mind, will encourage guests to leave the island early if a hurricane is expected to hit. Guests who are unable to leave due to flight cancellation or airport closure will be encouraged to move to one of the islands enclosed resorts, where restaurant service can be offered and guests can move around outside their room during a storm. In the event guests are unable to leave the hotel, customers will receive accommodations at an “emergency rate.”
